Device convergence

Comcast is all set to launch their HomePoint service. The service converges VoIP
handset and router functionality. The devices that come with the service are a
base unit that functions as a cable modem and wireless router, and a portable
handset that you can connect to additional handsets.

Vonage recently launched their Vonage
service, which is a free download that gives consumers international
calling capabilities on their smart-phones. The service allows users to use
either their existing cellular networks or any Wi-Fi hotspot. Vonage also lets
