The multicore utilization is very exciting. From a safety critical point and real-time system point of view I have searched for but not yet found any whitepapers regarding bus contention.

Example: A GPOS goes crazy utilizing to it's max the SHARED memory bus that the RTOS must also utilize. Even though the memory is separated it is still the same bus and contention on the bus will to some degree affect the RTOS.

It would be great to see a windriver blog about this :)

This is a good point. I would also like to see this. It will require someone much more in the technical depths of the Hypervisor and OS to comment on this. I'm hoping one of my colleagues will rise to the challenge.
