Eclipse Summit Europe and DSDP

The dust has settled on the first annual Eclipse Summit Europe held in Esslingen Germany. If you weren’t there, imagine a smaller and more intimate EclipseCon set in a beautiful European town, and you’ll get a mental picture… see Philipp’s photos (blog1, blog2). Probably the biggest benefit for the DSDP project was the networking that happened outside of the talks. I spoke with several interested community members during the Poster Session, the DSDP Project Update, and the Bistro Event. The eRCP and MTJ projects were of special interest to many attendees. Mobile development is clearly becoming one of the next big areas for Eclipse, and I’m pleased that DSDP has four projects specifically focused on the mobile space, as previously discussed.
