Hope to see you in The Hague

When you go to dinner, are you noticing menu items such as Broodjes, Stamppot, or Stroopwafels? Does it seem like everyone is riding a bicycle? Did you notice a ‘girl with a pearl earring’ who looked strangely familiar? If you answered yes to any of these questions as you read this, perhaps you are in the Netherlands for SDN NFV World Congress. If so, that’s great, because Wind River is there too.

While you are enjoying all The Hague and SDN NFV World has to offer, we hope to have an opportunity to catch up with you in person. Here is how we can easily be found:

On Monday at 10:10, during the Network Builders Summit, Charlie Ashton will take the stage for a Panel debate on NFVi. This should include a lively discussion about some of the requirements for successful deployment of NFVi, and some the differences between a “roll your own” solution vs. a pre-integrated commercial ready solution like Wind River Titanium Cloud.

Then at 17:20 on Tuesday in the Technology Forum, Charlie will take the stage again for the “NFV Interoperability” panel debate. This panel will discuss the difference that the new ETSI family of Common API specifications will make in the NFV ecosystem – in order to foster NFVI as a common platform and help VNFs be managed in a common lifecycle. How will the industry achieve maximum benefit from NFV Common API, ETSI NFV PlugTests and other collaborative activities like OPNFV and plugfests? Attend the panel and find out.

Throughout the event we will have our experts in the Intel booth, demonstrating our latest reference platform running on Titanium Cloud. In September we produced a web seminar titled, “vRAN, The Next Step in Network Transformation” in collaboration with our ecosystem partners: Altiostar, Amdocs, and Dell EMC. In this web seminar, we introduced and discussed our end-to-end platform featuring scalable computing; highly reliable, ultra low latency NFVi; flexible, virtual RAN; and full orchestration. We showed a demonstration how that system can live migrate from one compute server to another with no compromise to the service being delivered. We’ll have that demonstration on hand and will be available to discuss the other features and benefits of this reference platform.

We hope you will take advantage of being in The Hague by speaking with someone from our team to learn more about how we can help make your telco virtualization deployment a reality.
